Patented gets its name from the leader of this extraordinary vocal jazz quartet, Leonard Patton. What a phenomenal singer he is! He has the vocal style of Bobbie McFerrin and has done tons of theatrical productions in addition to his solo career. Matt Falker, our tenor, is a professional arranger, publisher, clinician, vocalist, jazz pianist, professor, music director and the list goes on. Nina Flowers is our soprano and has the voice of an angel. What style… wow can she swing! I am really honored to sing with these incredible singers.
Nathan and I have been working together for over 20 years. Our duo is the basis of our band Rhythm Express which works equally well in trio, quartet, or quintet formation. Nathan is absolutely brilliant on his keyboard sounding stylistically true to whatever era he is playing. He also has a voice that will remind you of Josh Groban, Michael Buble, or Harry Connick Jr. Together we can cover all styles including every Christmas song every written. We’ve done hundreds, maybe even thousands of parties and special events, specializing in weddings together as a duo and in the configurations of our band. We also have a show called “Duets Through the Decades” that is very poplular. Also over the years we have had steady gigs at such places as L’Auberge in Del Mar, The Loews in Coronado, Le Fontainebleu at the Westgate Hotel, and Fairbanks Ranch Country Club just to name a few.

My interest in flamenco began when I was in high school. I had the fortune of taking classes with a guitar teacher who made studying basic music theory palatable to a 15 year old, a true gift for any teacher. As I expanded my listening from rock to jazz, Latin, classical, and flamenco, there was one style that really left me moved: flamenco.
