1. a genre of science fiction that typically features steam-powered machinery rather than advanced technology.
What the heck is Steampunk anyway?
Often called the “greatest era that never was” this hot new sub-culture genre (with Science fiction roots) has taken on a life of itself. Set in the late 19th century, it encompasses all of the romanticism of the Victorian Era and super-charges it with “technology that never was.” Think of that vision then cross-pollinate it with elements of a “Vintage Circus” and voila you have a STEAMPUNK inspired event that is sure to leave your guests talking about it for some time to come!

The Euphoria Brass Band is the latest musical force to be reckoned with in San Diego. Part New Orleans tradition and street beats, part West Coast attitude and flow….and a lot of love! Created in 2011, when two longtime New Orleanians, David Bandrowski (banjo/guitar) and Ron Bocian (snare drum) who now call San Diego home, had an idea to build a New Orleans style brass band on the West Coast. The idea came to fruition when they approached KSDS Jazz 88.3’s “Second Line Parade” host Drew Miller (bass drum) with the idea. Through Drew’s connection with some of San Diego’s top horn players, soon Euphoria Brass Band was born. EBB boasts a top shelf horn section: Steve Ebner (trumpet), April West (trombone), Dave Jackson (tenor sax), JP Balmat (clarinet, alto and baritone sax) and sousaphonist Wayne Rice holding down the bottom. With reverence to tradition while bringing the unique multi-layered modern street sounds of New Orleans and letting the Southern California vibe shine through, Euphoria Brass Band is an undeniably unique and exciting musical force! Join the parade drenched in the sweet tones of Euphoria Brass Band….coming soon down a street near you!

She’s been playing and creating music for as long as she can remember.
As a kid, Sarah’s mother was a dancer, and her father a drum builder. Sarah has both a younger and an older brother who both play instruments as well.
Growing up, art, music – It was everywhere.
From an early age, Sarah’s parents recognized her love for the piano and did everything, literally, to help nurture that. Not too long after she began playing, she began writing, and again- her parents did everything in their power to help encourage it.
Through the course of her life and up until this point she has had experiences, some great, some not so great, but all in all together the reason she does what she does.
It’s life that gives her the thoughts she puts on paper. And a beautiful and talented job she does at that. As both a creator of music and as a singer. Sarah says, “I create music, and there is nothing I’ve found that compares to the joy I feel when I hear that the music I’ve written has become a part of someone else’s experience.”
Sarah was classically trained from the age of three. Attended the Idyllwild Arts Academy and holds a Degree in Composition from UNLV.
Albums out: The Sarah Sessions, The Joshua Tree Sessions, Itunes Compilation
Her song “I Won’t Let You Go” has been featured on One Tree Hill. Sarah can perform her own works, or perform more widely recognized repertoire of music.
