Based off his blog of the same name, My Secret Public Journal Live appeared in 2007. Birbiglia opened his first off-Broadway show, Sleepwalk with Me, the following year, and spent the rest of the decade spinning that show into different projects. An accompanying nonfiction book, Sleepwalk with Me and Other Painfully True Stories, appeared in 2010, followed one year later by the album Sleepwalk with Me Live. ANTICS and SEMANTICS is Dan Bennett’s unique brand of comedy that is decidedly appropriate for the professional audience. It combines skilled manipulation of sports equipment and everyday objects with original wit, energy and enthusiasm. His Corporate presentation is a “Tour de Force” of extreme “Edutainment” that offers everything from hysterical history to physics made funny.
And this can be customized for your organization’s needs or just offered as pure entertainment for your group.
What happens when a hilarious professor of mathematics performs a lecture with object lessons and world class juggling? You get nonstop laughter, “infotainment” and amazement. Right from the start Dan engages the audience with fast paced standup comedy and mesmerizing physical feats. The result is a highly entertaining and educational treat.
Making the common uncommon is one of Mr. Bennett’s signature routines. Using racquets and a can of tennis balls, Dan performs a brilliant original piece with the comedic backdrop of psychology. “Legislative physics” is another unforgettable topic by the funny instructor: basketballs spinning on each hand while doing a backward summersault, or one atop the other with the vernacular of quantum mechanics. “Soft landings for weighty matters” is the title theme for the corporate event and involves Newtonian physics, market corrections and a bowling ball being caught on the face!! Economics and the invention of baseball, evolution of soccer balls to volleyballs, and creative problem solving with Frisbees are just a few more themes covered by this distinctive presentation.
ANTICS and SEMANTICS:” SOFT LANDINGS FOR WEIGHTY MATTERS” is the answer for your corporate event. It is the merger of comedy, education and company team building. Dan Bennett is a mathemagician of the first order, a language and prop manipulatist of professorial proportions and world record legerdemainiac with a name you can swear by.

The ranting of a mad child? Not at all. These are the words of Brad Cummings when asked to describe his early fascination with ventriloquism. A fascination that would lead him to become one of today’s most successful and innovative ventriloquists.
Years of practice paid big dividends for Brad as he grew older. By the late 70’s, he packed his bags (which included his clothes, his toothbrush, and his dummies) and left the humble security of Wellesley, Massachusetts to pursue a career in show business. Soon after his arrival in Hollywood, Brad became a popular performer at some of L.A.’s most respected Comedy Clubs, including THE IMPROVISATION and THE ICE HOUSE.
The early 80’s gave this now seasoned performer a chance to expand and travel with his much sought after act. He was hired as an opening act for such stars as JOHN DENVER, CAPTAIN & TENNILLE, AND DOROTHY HAMILL. In addition to these tours, he also starred in main showroom revues in LAKE TAHOE, RENO, ATLANTIC CITY, AND LAS VEGAS.
All of the above mentioned is but a precursor for what Brad Cummings has become today. He has more than conquered the art of ventriloquism, he has taken it to a new plateau. With his innovative approach, unusual characters, and unique presentation, it’s no doubt that he is now a recognizable face in the media. His many television appearances (THE LATE SHOW WITH DAVID LETTERMAN, EVENING AT THE IMPROV, COMEDY ON THE ROAD, CAROLINE’S COMEDY HOUR, COMIC STRIP LIVE, THE VICKI SHOW, ETC.) have allowed millions of people to witness his ground breaking style of ventriloquism. He can also be seen on many television commercials and is the “on air” spokesman for BREATH ASURE. No wonder the prestigious SMITHSONIAN MAGAZINE called him “one of today’s top ventriloquists”.
And in spite of (or perhaps because of) his breaking with the traditional ventriloquist approach, he has also become a favorite at corporate meetings and conventions, entertaining such companies as FUJITSU, TOSHIBA, and even some American sounding companies.
As a result of this overwhelming success, Brad Cummings now speaks with the voice of experience…and a good part of the time without even moving his lips!
BRAD ON DAVID LETTERMAN:

Critics and peers agree, Brian Regan has distinguished himself as one of the premier comedians in the country. The perfect balance of sophisticated writing and physicality, Brian fills theaters nationwide with fervent fans that span generations.
Brian’s standard of excellence was set from the beginning. Watching such masters as Johnny Carson, The Smothers Brothers and Steve Martin, Brian was enthralled with the world of comedy and tried stand-up right out of college at a Ft. Lauderdale club an hour from his hometown of Miami. Touring the country constantly through the late 80’s and 90’s Brian won the 1996 American Comedy Award for Best Comedian, starred in two Showtime specials and performed on all the leading late night shows, including his life-long dream, “The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson.”
With his first appearance on “The Late Show with David Letterman” in 1995, Brian solidified his place on the show and has returned at least once each year since to visit Dave. He now includes regular visits to “Late Night with Conan O’Brien” on his schedule.
Through prolific writing and tireless touring, Brian is the rare comedian to make the leap from comedy clubs to theaters without the exposure of his own TV show or film. It is the quality of his material, relateable to a wide audience and revered by his peers, which continues to grow Brian’s fan base.
Cho, who is of Korean American descent, was raised in Knoxville and went into stand-up comedy in 1986. He attended University of Tennessee at Knoxville, and moved to Los Angeles, California in 1989 to pursue his career, but always with the intent of returning to his roots in Tennessee. Cho often uses his childhood experiences as an Asian American in the South in his comedy. “I’m an Asian with a Southern accent,” remarks Cho, “To a lot of people, that right there is funny.” He frequently makes remarks about the church he goes to, however, not in a mocking way. Cho appeared on many television shows in late-1980s and early-1990s including Bob Hope’s Young Comedians Special, MTV’s 1/2 Hour Comedy Hour and VH-1’s Stand-Up Spotlight. His other TV credits include guest roles on various sitcoms such as Designing Women, Lenny, The New WKRP in Cincinnati and a starring role in the TV movie Revenge of the Nerds III: The Next Generation. In 1994, after he moved back to Tennessee, Cho got a call from NBC to host a revamped version of Friday Night Videos titled Friday Night. He commuted to L.A. weekly for two years. During this time, he also appeared on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and The Arsenio Hall Show. Henry Cho recently earned his nickname, “Mr. Clean” for his always-clean comedy.
