THE SECRET JAZZ BAND

The Secret Jazz Band was formed by couple Katie Harris (vocals) and Tom Brayton (drums) out of a long time love for jazz. The two have had an eclectic musical journey that has seen them work professionally in the rock, pop and jazz worlds as touring musicians, studio musicians, songwriters and band leaders. Their music has been heard in film and television, including Legally Blonde (MGM), What Lies Beneath (Dreamworks), Ugly Betty (ABC), The Road To Stardom With Missy Elliott (UPN) and music for Fox Sports. The Secret Jazz Band has also appeared in an episode of I Found The Gown on TLC.

With The Secret Jazz Band, Katie and Tom have had the privilege of playing with some of L.A.’s best jazz musicians who have played with the likes of Jane Monheit, Royal Crown Revue, Engelbert Humperdinck and Jane Lynch.

The Secret Jazz Band has played numerous events, venues and performances all over Southern California and beyond. They have had the pleasure of performing at such venues as the world famous House of Blues (Anaheim), The Segerstrom Center for the Arts, The Sands Expo at The Venetian in Las Vegas and Pier Sixty in New York City.

The Secret Jazz Band creates a unique, up-beat and classy atmosphere by performing an authentic mix of Classic Jazz, Bossa Nova, Swing and Classic Soul. The band is a perfect fit to compliment popular event themes such as Great Gatsby, Old Hollywood and the Speakeasy Clubs of the Jazz Age.
