Beaches, boats, bars & tropical drinks with those little umbrellas. That is what you think of while watching and listening to “Garratt Wilkin & the Parrotheads”.
They are a Celebration of Jimmy Buffett’s music, formed in Northern California with some great local musicians who found themselves singing more Jimmy Buffett songs in their performances by popular demand. Later, Garratt was approached by an agent who asked him if he’d play an all Buffett show. Garratt said that he could and the rest is history.
It’s a nod to the legions of fans who put on their Hawaiian shirts and parrot hats and flock to Jimmy Buffett concerts. “ It’s party music for people of all ages” says Garratt. From 16 to 66, there’s nobody sitting down at a Jimmy Buffett Concert”. “ The crowd is half of the show,” says Wilkin. “They wear outfits…Parrot Head hats. They really get into the show.”
