Born in LA, TinaTurntables has always been a southern California girl. The visual arts were her first love but music was never far, rather intertwined, with her passions. After her college years in San Francisco, Tina found herself working with an entertainment company where she hosted karaoke in the high desert. The company noticed the strong connections she made with the locals, and taught her how to DJ and promoted her to a weekend residency. There Tina would play the requests that spanned multiple genres, from the classic to the cultural to current. The DJ herself, attributes her vast range to those casino visits and her family’s musical background. Fast forward to today where she has become quite the staple in entertainment for the Coachella Valley. A seven year professional, Tina Turntables, has performed at birthdays, weddings, clubs, events, festivals and more. Each gig more varied than the next, the potential careers within the disc jockey life. When she’s not investing in her mobile business, Tina broadcasts on Hot95.9 fm mon through Friday 2 to 6pm.
